Early History

Bourne Mills of Canada Inc has been around for a long time.  Originally started in the USA as a Cotton manufacture in 1881.  Bourne Mill was stepped in history, and quality and was located in Rhode Island.  You can read the full history of the "Bourne Mill" early years here https://rhodetour.org/items/show/102.

Recent History

In around 1986 Bourne Mills of Canada Inc was sold by Warren Buffet to a VP of one of his textile divisions Gary Morrison.  In 1993 Gary was in failing health and sold the company to his CFO Richard Turner.  Richard Turner still owns and operates Bourne Mills along with his son Richard (RJ) Turner.

What we do?

Bourne Mills of Canada focuses on manufacturing, importing and distributing custom drapery workroom supplies.  Our bread and butter is Drapery Lining, and Blackouts, but we also carry Voiles, Heading Tapes and workroom supplies, Contract Fabrics, Percale 108" Sheetings and we have started to bring in decorative fabrics.  We can also convert some fabrics, fold fabric and cut fabrics.  We look forward to working with you and your company!
